The bay port connection point implements centralized cross-border transportation connection by land to reduce the risk of the spread of the epidemic between the two places.

At the same time, in order to ensure the stable supply of fresh products in Hong Kong, the customs clearance time of Man Kam To Port will be extended from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm now to 7:00 am to 3:00 am the next day.

  The spokesman said that the SAR Government will also continue to promote the temporary cargo connection arrangements implemented at the Hong Kong International Airport Cargo Facility, Kwai Tsing Container Terminal and Tuen Mun River Trade Terminal together with the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government to ensure smooth cross-border transport by land. .

  In addition, the SAR government will further increase the capacity of water transportation to improve the supply of fresh food and other necessities.

At present, Shenzhen has opened 3 waterway transportation routes, and other cities in Guangdong have also opened 6 waterway transportation routes, with a daily capacity of more than 10,000 tons.

  The spokesman said that in addition to vigorously expanding waterway transport, the SAR government is also promoting the use of railway transport to increase transport capacity at full speed.

The SAR Government is actively working with various parties to further increase the frequency of railway transportation, with a view to enhancing and complementing the supply of land, water and railway lines.
