In an effort to support Ukraine, where Russia's military invasion continues, a bakery in Daisen City, Akita Prefecture, has begun an initiative to sell bread and piroshki, which are popular in Ukraine, and donate a portion of the sales.

This initiative was started by a bakery in Daisen City.

Piroshki, which is popular in Ukraine, is reproduced by wrapping ingredients such as cabbage, onions, and minced meat in bread dough.

The price is 210 yen per piece, and we make about 50 pieces a day.

At the bakery, about half of 110 yen will be donated to UN agencies that provide local support.

A man who bought Piroshki said, "Ukraine is in a difficult situation, so I think it's a good initiative because I can help by buying bread."

Mr. Masataka Fujita, the manager of Boulangerie Le Ron, who is engaged in this initiative, said, "I started to wonder if I could do something after seeing the devastation of Ukraine. I hope that the war will stop soon and peace will come."
