A 43-year-old drunk man miraculously survived the Vène flood.

Saturday, around 10:30 p.m., he was swept away by the waves in the town of Montbazin, northwest of Montpellier.

After a long search, he was finally found an hour later at the entrance to the town of Gigean, a few kilometers away, in his underpants and in a state of hypothermia.

The firefighters evacuated him to the Béziers hospital center for him to undergo checks.

A motorist was pulled from his vehicle after he forced a road closed to traffic and prohibited access.

Stuck in his vehicle in a meter of water, he was recovered by flood water rescue specialists.
