An inspiring creative platform in which a group of "anime" artists presented their artworks, as the "Shasha" event, organized by the "Fun" Foundation to promote media and visual art among children and youth, chose to shed light on the art of "anime" and present its creations to all age groups and different nationalities.

The activities of "Screen 2022" continued over three days in the Aljada area in Sharjah, and opened the way for talented and artists to present their works to the public, as the "Artists' Walk" was dedicated to displaying products bearing many of the "anime" characters, whether known globally or even specially created.

And about the organization of this event, Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Art Foundation, spoke to "Emirates Today", and said: "As an institution, we are concerned with media art in its various forms, whether it is photography, animation or films, we are always looking for everything that is new and distinctive in This framework, and we organize an event once in two years related to media art, which is why the name (screen) was chosen for this event in order to remain constant in each session, because all these arts are presented through screens.

She noted that the art of "anime" chosen in this session is distinguished by being part of the art of animation, and there is a great demand for this type of art, explaining that she strongly wanted to support young talents to secure support for them and encourage them to develop their artistic production.

She stressed that the Foundation organizes many events that support young people and talents in various fields that fall within the framework of media art, including films, stressing their constant quest to keep abreast of all developments that occur in the field of art of all kinds.

The painter Al-Anoud Youssef participated in the event, presenting a group of her drawings and indicating that she loves anime drawings, and she began presenting this art years ago after searching a lot for her own style, as well as after she managed to move the characters through the drawings and put them in different stations.

Regarding drawings and their implementation, she pointed out that one drawing takes hours, and the time may be long depending on the details you enter into the work, including shadows and colors, considering that working in art and drawing is very enjoyable.

Alia Al-Badi participated in presenting her drawings, and her silent book, in which she presented an integrated story through drawings only.

She emphasized that the story expresses a doll made of olive trees, which walks in the forest and helps the animals and gives each animal a piece of its body until it finally loses all its body parts and dies.

She noted that the reader can read the story without the presence of the text, because the graphics are able to convey the idea, especially because the creation of the character was designed in a way that clarifies the events, and pointed out that the characters she creates are close to her, and they take a lot of time to complete and therefore become very close to her.
