Mabrouk Attia responds to a wife complaining about her husband's "snoring"

Dr. Mabrouk Attia, a professor of Islamic law at Al-Azhar University, appeared in a video clip in which he answered a question from a wife complaining about her husband's snoring during sleep.

Attia said in the clip, that it is not written in the marriage contract or in the legal ruling that the wife should sleep next to her husband, as it is a process of conciliation.

The Egyptian preacher advised the questioner to get up quietly next to her husband and go to sleep in another room, noting that “snoring” during sleep may be due to fatigue and decreases with sleep and rest.

He said: “Sleep is a rest, and what is disturbing is God’s limit between you and him.”

He stressed to the questioner not to tell her husband that she does not sleep next to him because of his snoring, as this might hurt him, saying: "We were created to please each other, not to exchange accusations, and life continues."
