China News Service, Hong Kong, March 11 (Reporter Zhang Xiaoxi) Premier Li Keqiang said when answering questions from reporters in Beijing on the 11th that the central government is paying attention to the epidemic in Hong Kong every day, and is very concerned about the lives, health and safety of Hong Kong citizens. Taking the main responsibility of fighting the epidemic, the central government will fully support the fight against the epidemic.

In this regard, people from all walks of life in Hong Kong said that Li Keqiang's answer fully reflected the central government's care and strong support for Hong Kong. He hoped that the SAR government, with the support of the central government, will unite and lead all sectors of Hong Kong to fight the epidemic, so as to develop the economy and improve people's livelihood.

In an interview with a reporter from China News Agency, Fu Jianci, a member of the National Association for Hong Kong and Macao Studies, vice-chairman of the Hong Kong Legal Exchange Foundation, and professor of law, said that the content of Premier Li Keqiang's answer to reporters' questions fully reflected the central government's care and strong support for Hong Kong. In times of crisis, the central government will definitely rescue Hong Kong in time. Such support is heartening and encouraging.

Fu Jianci also pointed out that Li Keqiang mentioned that the SAR government postponed the election of the chief executive in order to concentrate on fighting the epidemic, and expressed full understanding and support.

He also believes that the postponement of the election is necessary and legal. The central government will fully, accurately and unswervingly implement the principles of "one country, two systems", "Hong Kong people administering Hong Kong" and a high degree of autonomy. People from all walks of life have worked together to fight the epidemic, thereby developing the economy, improving people's livelihood, and maintaining Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability.

"Saving people is like putting out fires, and the SAR government shoulders the main responsibility of fighting the epidemic. It should seize the time, speed up the pace, and make good use of the aid and anti-epidemic resources provided by the central government." He also called on all Hong Kong citizens to unite and fight the epidemic together, so as to overcome the epidemic as soon as possible.

Zhu Jiajian, a special member of the National Association for Hong Kong and Macao Studies and a senior commentator on Hong Kong's current affairs, also thanked the central government for its care and love for the people of Hong Kong.

He told reporters that from the content of Premier Li Keqiang's answer, it can be seen that the central government attaches great importance to and cares about the people of Hong Kong, and will provide continuous support.

He hopes that the SAR government can actively mobilize the civil service team to participate in the anti-epidemic work; in addition, the SAR government should strengthen the dissemination of anti-epidemic information, especially to take care of the needs of the elderly, so that the elderly can more easily obtain authoritative and clear information.

It is hoped that the SAR government can control the epidemic as soon as possible and gradually resume cooperation with the mainland in terms of tourism and other aspects.
