In Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture, where the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, which caused the accident 11 years ago, is located, some evacuation orders are scheduled to be lifted this spring.

A man from a local livestock farmer said he hopes to resume farming in the future, saying, "I want you to be able to ship the cattle raised here."

Mitsuhide Ikeda (60), a livestock farmer in Okuma Town, has a ranch in an area designated as a difficult-to-return area after being instructed to evacuate due to the nuclear accident.

The country has restricted the shipment of livestock from areas where evacuation orders have been issued, and Mr. Ikeda has continued to take care of them while commuting from the evacuation site, but 31 cows at the time of the earthquake were aging and sick17 I've lost my head.

On the 11th, Mr. Ikeda was giving grass and treating injured cows while calling out to the cows.

The evacuation order will be lifted this spring at the site of the ranch, but Fukushima Prefecture says that the framework for resuming livestock shipments in the area designated as a difficult-to-return area has not yet been decided.

Mr. Ikeda said, "I would like to take care of the cows I am raising now even if I cannot ship them. I hope that in the future I will be able to ship the cows raised here."
