Yamaguchi Prefecture and Shimonoseki City announced on the 10th that it was confirmed that 393 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 24,095 people have been confirmed to be infected in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Shimonoseki City also announced that a man in his 80s has died.
The number of people who died after being infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture has increased to 148.
