It was washed away and found by the police a few hours after falling into the water and was successfully rescued. Due to the timely rescue, the old man was out of danger.

　　At 8:30 a.m. on March 7, the Shuanggou police station of Sihong County Public Security Bureau received an alarm from the people in its jurisdiction saying that there is a suspected humanoid floating object in the center of the Huaihe River under the Shuanggou Bridge, which is far away from the water. I hope the police will verify it.

　　After receiving the alarm, Zhang Yang, the policeman on duty, quickly organized the police to bring rescue equipment to the scene.

After arriving at the scene, the police carefully observed and found that there was indeed a floating object in the center of the Huaihe River under the Shuanggou Bridge.

For quick verification, the police found a small boat nearby and arranged for Zhu Yongjian, an auxiliary policeman who is proficient in water, to drive the boat and lead people to the unidentified floating object.

At that time, he was clinging to the bumps of the bridge pier with both hands, with iron wires wrapped around his arms and neck, and there was slight bleeding on the top of his head. I didn't care when I called him, and only made a faint humming sound." Zhu Yongjian recalled , they paddled closer to find that the drowning man was an elderly man, who shouted loudly but got no response.

　　Seeing this situation, Zhu Yongjian was very anxious. He knew that the golden rescue time should be calculated in seconds. If you rescue one second earlier, the drowning person will have one more chance to survive.

So, he lay on the bow of the boat, used all his strength to break the wire wrapped around the old man's body little by little, and quickly lifted the old man's head.

Due to the heavy clothes in winter, the old man floated on the water, so Zhu Yongjian had to lie on the boat, half of his body was suspended on the water, dragging the corner of the old man's clothes, and rowed to the shore little by little.

　　The police led three auxiliary police officers to respond on the shore. Looking at the approaching boat, they didn't have time to think about it. They immediately went into the water to rescue, and quickly stepped forward to lift the old man and bring the old man to shore stably.

　　It is early spring now, and the river water is still freezing cold. The old man who was rescued from the shore was soaked in the water for several hours, and his body showed signs of dewarming.

Seeing that the old man's face was pale and his lips were purple, the police immediately took off the police uniform and wrapped the old man tightly, hugged the old man to keep him warm, and they kept calling for the old man.

After a while, the old man finally regained consciousness and curled up in the arms of the police.

　　Soon, 120 ambulances rushed to the old man with rescue tools. The police and auxiliary police fixed the old man with rescue stretchers. With the concerted efforts of everyone, the old man was pulled up the river bank and immediately sent to the hospital for treatment.

Due to the timely rescue and appropriate measures by the police, after the hospital's treatment, the drowning old man has recovered and returned home.

　　Later, the police learned that after the old man fell into the water, due to the rapid flow of water, he wrapped the iron wire on the pier around his hands and neck in a hurry to prevent it from being washed away by the current, so he retained the hope of survival.
