  According to reports, this epitaph was discovered when the farmer was building the house and excavating the foundation, and it has been placed in the corner of the idle courtyard.

The stone inscription on the epitaph is a cube, with a length and width of 70 cm and a height of 16 cm. It is made of bluestone. The upper right corner of the inscription is slightly incomplete.

The inscription is written in italics, with handsome fonts, strong and powerful, with about 610 characters. It records the life history, family member composition and conferring status of the local Jinshi and the imperial censor Zhang Xiang during the Jiajing period.

  According to the records, the owner of the tomb, Zhang Xiang, whose courtesy name is Ziliang, was a wise man since childhood. He was a jinshi in the fifth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty.

In addition to introducing the life of the owner of the tomb, the epitaph also gave a more detailed introduction to Zhang Xiang's demotion after being impeached by several officials for supervising the "Jingtong Two Warehouses". quality.

  According to Zhang Xia, director of the Linxi County Cultural Protection Institute, during the Ming Dynasty, Tongzhou District was located at the northern end of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.

In order to store grain, many granaries were built in Beijing and Tongzhou, commonly known as Jingtong Er Warehouse.

The found stone inscription mentions the historical event of the "Jingtong two warehouses" at that time, which further enriches the Ming Dynasty historiography materials in southern Hebei, and also has important historical reference for studying the changes in politics, culture, geography and landforms at that time. value.
