In Bolivia, of the more than 1,000 people who go missing every year, about 300, mostly young girls, are victims of human trafficking.

Maintained in a situation of exploitation for economic purposes, they are generally abducted to be prostituted, in the country or abroad.

But there are also many who are victims of trafficking, without being removed from their families, very young girls who believe they “consent” to prostitution.

To fight against this phenomenon, the police have very few means, and justice is considered by the relatives of the disappeared as corrupt and ineffective.

Diving into the heart of the fight against trafficking in young women.

"Trafficking of young girls in Bolivia, stolen adolescence", a great report by Alice Campaignolle.
