A Pakistani man shoots his daughter a week after she was born, and the reason does not occur to me
Pakistani police have arrested a Pakistani man after he shot his 7-day-old daughter because he wanted his first child to be a boy.
Police said the newborn girl, Jannat, was shot five times last Monday at his home in the central city of Mianwali, according to the Daily Mail.
The murderer's father, Shahzeeb Khan, entered his wife's house, and ordered her to hand the baby over to him, after which he shot her, and then ran away, and today, Thursday, he was caught by the police.
For his part, Hedayat Allah, the uncle of the murdered infant, said that he submitted an official complaint against his brother to the official authorities after killing his daughter, and he was arrested in a nearby neighborhood.
Hedayatullah said that he tried to take the child away from his brother, but the murdering father pointed a gun at him and other relatives and threatened to shoot them if they approached him.
