At the construction site of the tunnel of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen in Toyooka Village, Nagano Prefecture, two people were slightly injured on the 8th when the piping came off and hit a worker.

According to Nagano Prefecture and JR Central, at around 2:30 pm on the 8th, at the construction site of the tunnel of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen in Toyooka Village, the concrete spraying pipe came off and hit the right arm of a male worker, or scattered concrete pieces. Was hit by another male worker's face, and all of them were slightly injured.



In response to this, the prefecture requested JR Central to suspend the construction work at this site until the cause of the accident and countermeasures were reported to the prefecture.



Regarding the construction of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen, an accident occurred on the 1st of this month at the construction site of a tunnel in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture, in which one worker was injured, such as a broken bone.



Also, at the site of the same construction area as this time in Toyooka Village, Nagano Prefecture, an accident occurred in November last year when the earth and sand collapsed and one worker was slightly injured.



JR Tokai commented, "We take the fact that repeated accidents have occurred seriously, and we will investigate the cause and try to prevent recurrence."
