The Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom), born from the merger of the CSA and Hadopi, is asking the courts to block five pornographic sites in France.

They had already been warned by Arcom, which gave them 15 days to comply with the law.

Pornhub, Cliphunter, XHamster, Xnxx, Xvideos.

The names of these five websites may be familiar to you.

These sites, which offer free pornographic content, could soon be blocked in France.

The Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom) has made a request to this effect to the French courts.

These five sites do not comply with the rules for the protection of minors and are too easily accessible by those under 18.

Arcom warnings not taken into account within the time limits

Before this request, the audiovisual policeman had already warned these sites.

Arcom had given them 15 days to comply with the law.

But the findings of bailiffs show that the hosts did not respect these deadlines.

How pornography influences the sexuality of young people

Concretely, these sites do not respect the law according to which they must control the age of their visitors.

Today, they just have to click on a box that asks the user to confirm that he is of legal age.

It is therefore very easy for young minors to lie.

If the courts decide to block these pornographic sites, Internet users will be sent to a dedicated Arcom page.
