　　2022 is considered to be the 60th anniversary of the "Latin American literature explosion". How should Chinese writers continue to draw nourishment from Latin American literature?

On March 8, the 3rd Dayi International (Latin America) Writing Camp, which lasted for two days, came to a successful conclusion in Kunming, the spring city of Yunnan, China.

Under the special epidemic situation, the four Chinese writers connected the four Latin American writers by combining online and offline methods, continuing the exchange and collision between Chinese literature and Latin American literature.

The eight writers spoke freely, shared and exchanged their unique experiences in personal creation, and discussed a series of important literary issues such as the responsibility and whereabouts of literary creation in the post-epidemic era, hometown and identity, culture and inheritance.

　　In the 1960s and 1970s, the unique literary phenomenon of "Latin American literature explosion" swept the world literary world, and a large number of outstanding Latin American literary writers and works emerged one after another.

Beginning in the mid-to-late 1980s, Latin American literary giants such as Borges, Márquez, Llosa, Cortazar, Carlos Fuentes, Juan Rulfo, etc. brought great influence to contemporary Chinese literature. After a wave of great changes, China's "root-seeking literature" and "avant-garde literature" have embarked on an extraordinary journey since then.

It is worth noting that at that time, in the southwestern border of China, Yunnan People's Publishing House began to publish the "Latin American Literature Series" after 15 years, which became a major event in the history of Chinese publishing.

　　"The methodology, language, ideas, concepts, etc. of Latin American literature have almost recreated contemporary Chinese literature, and the influence has not disappeared." Chen Peng, dean of Dayi College of Literature, said that this year's Dayi International Writing Camp is to focus on the past and present. Latin American literature and Latin American writers are once again pushed into the scene of Chinese literature and in front of Chinese writers to deeply explore the relationship between Chinese literature and Latin American literature today, and think about what kind of nutrition Chinese writers can draw from the rich Latin American literature and what they can produce. literature.

In the video link, Fernando Sáez Garcia, executive chairman of the Chilean Neruda Foundation, introduced that, as one of the Latin American countries, the literary exchanges between Chile and China can be traced back to the contacts between Chilean poet Neruda and Chinese poet Ai Qing , "The exchanges between the two poets have laid the foundation for the exchange of poetry between Chile and China. The Dayi International Writing Camp is a relay of this tradition. It deepens our literary connection and makes our friendship start from literature again." Ambassador Hua Luis Schmidt said that this International Writing Camp will undoubtedly build a cultural bridge for writers on both sides of the Pacific Ocean to promote mutual exchanges and beneficial dialogues.

　　This is the third time for the Dayi International Writing Camp to help Chinese literature “go out” as a non-governmental organization.

In June 2017, the first 16-day Dayi International Writing Camp was held in the small town of Poles, Nimes, France. A total of six writers from China, France, Spain and Italy participated.

In September 2018, the 2nd Dayi International Writing Camp was held at the University of Complutense, Spain. Ten writers from China and Spain had a face-to-face "barrier-free" dialogue on the culture and literature of the two countries. hometown, sowing the seeds for more Chinese writers to go to the world.
