Traffic on line J of the Transilien was strongly impacted early Monday afternoon at Us station (Val-d'Oise).

As La Gazette du Val-d'Oise

reports

, a horse got stuck in barbed wire and his body was sticking out on the railway tracks.

The equine was trapped around 1:45 p.m. and train traffic was stopped until 3 p.m. to help him.

Mobilization to release the animal

Firefighters intervened to extricate the animal.

They were supported by the gendarmes and by members of an equestrian center located nearby.

Eventually, the horse was able to be extracted from the barbed wire.

He found his owner and traffic was able to resume normally in the middle of the afternoon.

Our colleagues did not know how the equine could have found itself in such a situation.
