The drop in indicators of the Covid-19 epidemic in Paca, observed in recent weeks, has stalled.
“From February 28 to March 6, the viral circulation seems to stabilize”, underlines this Tuesday the Regional Health Agency, in its weekly situation update.
The incidence rate, the number of cases detected per 100,000 inhabitants only increased from 599 to 573 in one week across Paca.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, it has even started to rise slightly in recent days, according to data from Public Health France.
Activity down "slightly" in the emergency room
At the same time, “the share of Covid activity in hospital emergencies is down slightly”, also notes the ARS, thus dropping from 1.9% to 1.6%.
And the number of patients treated in conventional hospitalization (-144) and in critical care (-57) also continues to decrease.
Last week, 105 people died in hospitals and nursing homes in the region as a result of Covid-19, according to figures from the organization.
Since March 2020, the epidemic has killed 13,902 people in Paca.
