Like last year at the same time, the metropolis of Lyon is once again launching a major collection of feminine protection to fight against menstrual precariousness.

The objective is to “shed light on a subject that is still too often taboo” and to help women “who have financial difficulties in buying these protections”.

According to figures put forward by the community, nearly two million women in France and one in three students suffer from menstrual precariousness.

The operation, which begins on Tuesday, will end on May 28.

Forty-seven collection points have been set up throughout the territory, in the metropolis of Lyon but also in 26 partner town halls.

These collected products will be redistributed to the various associations, in particular Le Foyer Notre-Dame des sans-abri, Le Mas, the Salvation Army, Habitat and Humanism, the Secours Populaire, the Secours Catholique, the Red Cross or the Restos du Coeur. , but also student associations.
