Recently, Feng Limin, deputy director of the Northeast Tiger and Leopard Monitoring and Research Center of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, and associate professor of Beijing Normal University, introduced that the number of tigers and leopards in the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park has doubled in four years.

The obvious reason for the increase in the number of Amur tigers and leopards is inseparable from the spacious habitat and rich food chain provided by the national parks for tigers and leopards.

Feng Limin explained that the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park covers an area of 14,000 square kilometers.

On the one hand, the large area is to follow the natural law of protecting tigers. Tigers need a large area of habitat to survive.

On the other hand, an adult tiger needs a population base of several hundred prey each year.

And large-scale parks will support a very rich food chain, a healthy ecosystem.
