[Explanation] In 2021, the "runaway" trip of Asian elephants in Yunnan and the number of Siberian tigers and leopards in Siberian Tiger and Leopard National Park will double in four years, allowing us to see the results of China's wildlife protection.

But there are also more cases of wild animals intruding into the human living environment.

What should I do if I encounter wild animals such as tigers and leopards?

How can we live in harmony with them?

Recently, China News Service, China News Service, and China News Service have invited members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and experts in the ecological field to discuss the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

[Explanation] In recent years, including Siberian tigers and leopards, many wild species that were difficult to see or even endangered in the past have gradually increased.

Why are wild animals active in China?

Yang Zhongqi, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, counselor of the State Council, and chief expert of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, said that the main reason is that the living environment of wild animals has been greatly improved.

In recent years, with the advancement of the six major national forestry projects and the strengthening of ecological environment construction, the environment conducive to the survival of Siberian tigers in the past has been greatly improved.

The Siberian tigers all went out to Siberia, Russia, and came back, and after returning, they never left, and settled down here again.

[Explanation] When the activity space of wild animals such as tiger and leopard populations increases, it also means that they are more likely to break into the human living environment, which sometimes affects the lives of residents.

Is there a conflict between the living space of humans and the living space of wild animals?

In this regard, Chen Liding, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, researcher of the Eco-Environmental Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and director of the State Key Laboratory of Urban and Regional Ecology, believes that the relationship between animals and human living environments is conflicting but also interdependent and symbiotic.

  It does have a trade-off.

But from another point of view, it is an interdependent and symbiotic relationship between us, nature and animals.

For example, now we see that in the past few years, we have carried out a study on the construction of ecological civilization and the realization mechanism of ecosystem service value.

In fact, we can see that nature has provided us with countless ecological products, which support the social development of our human beings.

The inventions of some of our new technologies in human society, whether it is the invention of radio tracking or aircraft, are actually imitating the behavioral characteristics of various animals in nature.

The survival of human beings is inseparable from the protection of some wild animals and plants, so the protection of animals and plants is also inseparable from the correct understanding of our human beings.

[Explanation] In the past two years, "people and tigers meet" have been seen frequently in the newspapers.

What should I do when I encounter wild animals such as tigers and wild boars that are more aggressive in the wild?

Yang Zhongqi said that you must be calm when encountering wild animals.

When encountering tigers and leopards in the wild, these ferocious beasts must not panic.

If you have to turn around and run away, it may come after it again. After chasing it, it will definitely be torn with you, and people will be bitten and life-threatening.

We have to keep calm.

If we say that we have a stick of firewood in our hand, or that we have some tools, we should not panic and confront it.

It is a wild animal, and it is also afraid of people.

You want to overwhelm it in momentum, and it will leave when it sees that it is boring.

Once the animal says that it will hurt you, you can find a space to hide, such as climbing a tree, this animal will not be able to get through.

When encountering such wild animals, try to communicate with our local protection department or local government in time.

When you inform the local protection department in time, you can control it through some measures, or welcome it into the protected area.
