• Because we have all heard funny rumors or urban legends of a sexual nature,

    20 Minutes

    has taken up the matter.

  • The “rusk” of rugby players, strawberry pie as an invitation to swing, orgasm while playing sports… There are many beliefs circulating and intriguing.

  • Today, in the last chapter of our series, we clear up the mystery around a tattoo and a practice: fist-fucking.

"Your tattoo is great."

“Yes, I wanted a ring around my arm.

I did it a few years ago, when I returned from a

road trip

in Asia”.

If you're on vacation by the pool with friends, this scene is confusingly banal.

Unless… An urban legend would evoke a completely different reading grid, much warmer.

Is the tattoo in the shape of a ring or a circle on the arm (

armband tattoo

, in English) a code relating to fist-fucking, to signify how far one has returned one's fist (or one's arm) in

a partner's anus?

Pure invention or reality?

This summer,

20 Minutes

lays bare the olé olé rumors.

What are we talking about ?

This is a tattoo representing a line, forming a ring all around the arm or forearm.

It would represent a sort of graduation ladder linked to a fist-fucking (FF) record.

This sexual practice, which emerged in California in the second half of the 20th century, consists of introducing the fist – possibly the arm – into an orifice such as the anus.

“Everyone has a hand and an asshole.

This creates for each individual, regardless of their sex, two possibilities, to be a fister or a fisted”, explained a few years ago, to

20 Minutes,

Marco Vidal, author of

Fist

(Ed. La Découverte).

“Historically, fisting has developed in rather marginal places, such as those dedicated to SM bondage.

He also took over the language "top" or "bottom", "master" or "slave".

But from this time, we see a divergence appear.

SM practitioners don't understand fisting, because they don't find the dominated-dominant roles so assertive and don't understand the kind of delicacy that fisting requires,” he added.

And about the tattoo?

It is on Twitter that many Internet users evoke this brand, its "hidden" or "unrecognized" meaning.

Some do not know the meaning of their tattoo!

Where is that from ?

It is very difficult to say precisely where this tattoo comes from.

Especially since this motif has other meanings.

According to various tattoo parlor sites viewed by

20 Minutes

, "Black armband tattoos are used to carry memories of a lost relative or friend.

This meaning is derived from the black armband garments that have traditionally been worn as a sign of mourning,” it reads here.

Others evoke a reference to the war bracelets of Roman times, or to those which were made at one time to Japanese prisoners according to their crime.

The two bands would also represent, in the LGBT community, a symbol of the fight for equality.

And before this particular meaning it was a tattoo done to the Japanese prisoner according to their crime!!

Does it exist or not?

Yes, it exists.

“This tattoo does indeed have a meaning in the gay SM fetish scene.

It indicates that the person practices fist-fucking.

Tattoo on the left: the person has a predominance to be fisted.

Tattoo on the right: the person is active in fisting.

The height of the tattoo on the arm or forearm indicates the depth of the fist", details

20 Minutes

Sylvain, 42, practicing fist-fucking for "five years in active, three years in passive, but with an attraction for the older FF”.

What the expert says

Contacted by

20 Minutes,

François, who founded La Fistinière in 2007 with his companion Juan-Carlos, says: "Among my acquaintances who practice fist-fucking, some have this tattoo, which signifies the depth reached during a fist" , he explains.

"It's relatively new.

This developed with the craze for tattooing, at the same time as the development of the practice of fisting in France, over the past fifteen years.

Initially, the FF represented a small community.

Someone had to start doing it and some followed.

A porn actor from the early 2000s, known for this practice, also wears this graduation tattoo,” concludes François.
