As Russia's military invasion of Ukraine continued, citizens rang bells and prayed for peace in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

This initiative was called by the "Ashiya UNESCO Association" in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, and about 30 people gathered every year at the "Bell of Love" at the Civic Center, which is ringing for peace on the day of the end of the war.

Participants adorned the bell with a blue and yellow ribbon in the image of the Ukrainian flag and put up a message saying "Deliver to Ukraine".

He then rang the bell, facing west, where Ukraine was located, protesting Russia's military invasion and praying for peace to return as soon as possible.

A woman in her 70s in Ashiya City, who participated in the event, said, "I'm afraid to know about Ukraine through the media. I prayed for peace as soon as possible."

Ken Yamanaka, Chairman of the Ashiya UNESCO Association, said, "I was wondering if I could do something while living in peaceful Japan. I can't hear the sound of the bells in Ukraine far away, but I want you to receive a message wishing for peace." I was talking.
