At the microphone of Isabelle Morizet in the program "There is not just one life in life" on Saturday, the actor Patrick Braoudé looks back on his personal and professional journey.

And especially on the time he played François Hollande for Clint Eastwood.

He will have played the former President of the Republic three times in total.

INTERVIEW

He is not the best known of French actors.

His face, however, has become that of a President of the Republic, on the small and big screen.

The actor Patrick Braoudé played François Hollande three times.

First in 2013, for Bernard Stora's TV movie

The Last Campaign

.

Then in 2016, in Yvan Attal's film

They Are Everywhere

.

Two years later, it is no less than Clint Eastwood who calls on him to play the former president.

He returns to this experience on Saturday in

There is not only one life in life

In his film

Le 15h17 pour Paris

, Clint Eastwood stages the terrorist attack in the Thalys.

And needs a François Hollande.

He therefore called on Patrick Braoudé.

"It must be said that I had already played Holland twice, for Yvan Attal and for Bernard Stora. So, I was the official Holland. I was the lining!", jokes the comedian at the microphone of Europe 1. "When Hollande had to go into dangerous stuff, I was asked to go in his place and I had bodyguards."

François Hollande contacted

More seriously, Patrick Braoudé explains that he should not, despite this quasi-status of "official double", not play François Hollande.

"In fact, Clint Eastwood really wanted to have Hollande in the film," he reveals.

"They contacted him for a long, long time. He was already no longer president, but he didn't want to do it."

At the same time, a casting is still open just in case for the role of François Hollande.

And Patrick Braoudé passes the auditions.

"Finally, I was taken to make the film. It was only one scene, but it was great", he specifies.

"And I got a selfie with Clint Eastwood. It was worth it for that alone!"
