For the first time, Bill Gates' ex-wife reveals the reason for their separation

The ex-wife of American billionaire Bill Gates revealed in a public conversation for the first time since the announcement of their separation, the reason for her decision to separate from the founder of Microsoft.

Bill Gates and Melinda announced their separation after 27 years of marriage, in a statement published by Bill Gates' Twitter account on May 3 last year, and they have 3 children, the youngest of whom is 18 years old.

Melinda Gates, 57, said in an interview with CBC that she told her husband that she did not feel comfortable with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after the couple met him in 2013, stressing that Bill continued his relationship with him despite her expressing her concerns.

She added, according to "Al Arabiya", that there are many things behind her divorce decision, stressing that the first reason for the separation is that she was not satisfied with holding meetings with Epstein.

And she continued, "I went to meet Epstein because I wanted to know who this man was, and I regretted it from the second I walked in the door, and I had nightmares after that."
