American rock musician Marilyn Manson (real name Brian Warner) filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against his ex-fiancee actress Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld).

The latter previously accused the performer of abuse during their romance.

In his lawsuit, Manson alleges that Wood's words are "malicious lies" that have damaged his film, music and television careers.

“We are filing a lawsuit now because we have been able to collect a huge amount of evidence, including documents and testimonies, in favor of the fact that the information that Evan Rachel Wood and her accomplice Ilma Gore fabricated and distributed is an act of revenge and is not true, what can be proven,” said Manson’s lawyer Howard King.

In early 2021, Wood and several other women reported physical and psychological abuse by Manson.

According to them, the musician intimidated them, held them against their will and did not let them sleep.

Women said that because of the listed actions of the star, they still suffer from anxiety, nightmares and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Later, similar lawsuits followed from actress Esme Bianco (Game of Thrones) and model Ashley Morgan Smithline.

Lawyers for the musician brought specific charges against Wood and her partner, Ilma Gore.

The document states that the defendants hacked into the artist's computer and social media, and "created a fictitious email account to fabricate ostensible evidence of Manson's e-mailing of illegal pornography."

In addition, the statement said that Wood and her partner posed as FBI agents by distributing a fake letter.

With his help, they intended to create a false impression that the "victims" of the musician and their families are in danger, and against Manson himself there is a criminal investigation.

The lawsuit also alleges that Wood and Gore persuaded other women to file false allegations of sexual assault against Marilyn Manson.

They allegedly received the same list of abuse allegations so that the victims' testimonies would match.

The list included, among other things, allegations that the girls had been raped, drugged and locked in rooms.

“Wood's statements may resonate because of the deliberately “shocking” nature (character. -

) of Marilyn Manson, but they simply do not reflect the truth.

The facts that the defendants fabricated ten years after the event never took place, ”says the musician’s lawyer.

Marilyn Manson wants a jury trial.

He claims he was emotionally hurt.

Also, according to the artist, the opposite side violated the law on computer data and committed an act of fraud.

The document went to court a few days before the release of Oscar-nominated Amy Berg's documentary "Phoenix Rising."

The HBO tape talks about the relationship of Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson.

Their romance became known in 2007, when Wood was 19 years old and Manson was 38. Three years later, the couple announced their engagement, but soon the artists broke up.

In the tape, the actress complains about the systematic beatings and humiliation by the artist.

Also, according to Wood, in 2007, Manson actually raped her while working together on the next clip of the latter.

Phoenix Rising‎ premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2022.

According to lawyer Howard King, HBO and Amy Berg have also been victims of Wood and Gore.

The lawyer assures that the documentary was made on the basis of false documents and false statements.

After Wood and a number of other women spoke about violence at the hands of Marilyn Manson, the record company Loma Vista refused to promote his new record, and footage with the artist was removed from the horror anthology Kaleidoscope of Horrors and the TV series American Gods.

Earlier in the center of a similar scandal was the actor Johnny Depp.

In 2018, The Sun newspaper published an article saying that he beat his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The artist himself denied all accusations.

The material caused a great resonance in society, and after a while Depp filed a lawsuit against the British tabloid for defamation.

In 2020, the Supreme Court of London dismissed the claim.

A similar case, but with a different outcome, happened to Australian actor Geoffrey Rush (Elizabeth, Pirates of the Caribbean films).

At the end of 2017, The Daily Telegraph published a number of articles that talked about his alleged harassment of the actresses of the play "King Lear".

In response to the allegations, the artist filed a libel suit and won the case in 2019.

Media group Nationwide News, which owns the Australian tabloid The Daily Telegraph, was ordered to pay compensation to Rush in the amount of $ 607.5 thousand.
