At the origin of the construction port megaproject in the plain of Achères (Yvelines), otherwise known as “Port Seine Métropole Ouest”, Haropa has been coming up against opposition from seven local environmental associations for several months.
The latter have just joined forces to ask the administrative judge to cancel the public utility decree issued by the prefect of Yvelines in favor of the port, reports

A 122 million euro project
According to these Yvelin associations, the realization of this large-scale project would lead in particular to a worrying increase in road traffic in the sector and would be generally contrary to current environmental issues.
This equipment aims in particular to supply part of the construction industry in the Paris region, the work of the Grand Paris Express in mind.
In practice, this project would result in the construction of a 52-hectare business zone and an interior basin on the banks of the Seine.
All for an estimated cost of 122 million euros.
