• Since 1985, the Enfoirés show has reached around 10 million viewers during its television broadcast.

  • Among the artists of the 2022 edition, old ones, new ones (Jérémy Frérot or Joyce Jonathan), returnees (Jean-Louis Aubert or Catherine Lara), mismatched guests (Kylian Mbappé or Thomas Pesquet).

    All in tables.

  • An air of Enfoirés

was filmed at the end of January in Montpellier, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, without an audience, as in 2021. Government restrictions had forced the Restos du Coeur to reimburse the places, almost all of which had sold out.

  • The production has been adapted, by turning the 22 scenes as closely as possible, to make the emotions transpire, interspersed with sketches shot like little fictions.

Thirty-seven years after the call launched by Coluche, the Enfoirés are still there.

Thirty-six artists responded to the call from Anne Marcassus, the producer of Les Enfoirés.

With, as usual, a mix between old, new and a handful of return histories, but also between singers and guests used against employment.

Kylian Mbappé and Thomas Pesquet are back in this edition.

“It brings a lot of meaning to our path in this profession filled with glitter, not always extremely sincere, evokes Amir.

We meet in these moments that we can make music, live in a good way, with good intentions and much less ego.

They are in fact many more to have accepted the invitation.

Because this edition shot at the end of January in Montpellier, in the midst of the fourth wave of Covid-19, had to deprive itself of several artists affected by the virus: Jenifer, Christophe Mahé, Jane Birkin, Michèle Laroque, Jeff Panacloc, Carla Bruni, Claire Keim and Michaël Youn gave up at the last moment.

Just like the public, finally asked to stay at home by government decision, while the concert tickets were almost all sold out.

Steadicams to shoot as close as possible to emotions

A hole of 4 million euros for the Restos du Coeur.

And a show completely redesigned by Anne Marcassus.

“We used Steadicams on stage in order to shoot as close as possible to the artists.

We start in close-up, we walk through the story and then we go wider.

I think it makes for some really fantastic images and scenes, like that incredible painting on

Dingue

, the Soprano track.”

Another change, the sketches.

Les Enfoirés surrounded themselves with one of the directors of

Les Guignols de l'info

in order to shoot them behind the scenes, like little fictions.

“We realized last year the difficulty of making jokes without an audience.

Until last year, with the presence of the public during the first concerts, we could try valves.

If it didn't work, we took them off, ”explains Philippe Lacheau, who interrupted the promotion of his film

Super-heroes in spite of himself

to participate in Les Enfoirés.

“When we got to the weekend, when the cameras were filming, it held up pretty well.

There, without this hindsight, when you go on TV, you tell yourself that it's not necessarily funny.

"An Unstoppable Cause"

“Technically, it calls on different resources, confirms Patrick Bruel, a faithful.

I would compare it with the difference there can be between cinema and theatre.

In the cinema, you repeat six, seven, ten times, with 20 to 30 seconds per take.

And after two hours, we move on.

We don't have time to step back, unlike the theater where we had the audience's response which gives us indications on what works well and what doesn't”.

Superb paintings, between Earth and space – twenty-two in total – people “happy to be together”, confirms Catherine Lara, back – like Jean-Louis Aubert – after years of absence.

The Enfoirés magic still works.

"It's a bit of a great television show in the manner of the Carpentiers with the pleasure of being all together once again for an unstoppable cause", summarizes Patrick Bruel.

"I was so happy to be called," smiles Anne Sila.
