Four centuries ago, Molière performed several times in Languedoc.
And especially in Pézenas (Hérault), where the imprint of the playwright is still as vivid.
For the 400th anniversary of his birth, the Pierresvives media library, in Montpellier, offered artists, mainly from urban art, to reinvent this classic author, by reclaiming his most famous plays.
Designed by the media library team and the street art association Line Up, the
Molière 2022
exhibition , to be discovered free of charge until June 18, thus shows the work of the artist Ador, who imagined a
Tartuffe
in 2022 , of Levalet, who imagined himself as a
Misanthrope
, or of Jace, who proves that the subject of
L'Avare
is still topical.
