Emmanuel Macron, now officially a candidate for re-election, "will have to be accountable," says Geoffroy Didier.

Outgoing President Emmanuel Macron waited until the last moment to formalize his candidacy for a second term.

He did so on Thursday March 3 in a letter to the French published on the sites of regional press dailies.

They are therefore twelve to stand for the presidential election next April.
