Ten years ago to the day, the explosions of a Congolese army arms and ammunition depot in the Mpila district in the east of Brazzaville caused the death of nearly 300 people, injured more than 3,000 others, and 17,000 people were left homeless.
For a decade, most of the victims are still living in utter destitution and awaiting repairs.
The government's efforts are still far from settling the case, which has given rise to a trial, but a trial that has left human rights defenders in particular unsatisfied.
