Egypt .. A draft law in Parliament to set a new condition for marriage

Egyptian journalist Iman Abu Talib stressed the importance of conducting a medical examination for those who are about to marry, noting that there are 60 MPs in Parliament who submitted a draft law that requires those who are getting married to undergo a medical examination.

During her program "Bilkhat Al-Arid", on "Al-Hayat Al-Youm" channel, Abu Talib explained that the fees for the medical examination are about 500 pounds, as it is an official document for conducting the marriage contract in accordance with the law that stipulates penalties for the authorized person who violates these conditions.

Abu Talib indicated that the authorized person who violates the conditions of the law will be subject to a penalty of up to one year in prison and a fine of up to 50,000 pounds, or one of the two penalties according to the law.
