South Africa generates over 54 million tonnes of waste every year, and according to government data only 10% is recycled.

It is also one of the biggest carbon emitters.

The country is strongly affected by climate change.

The Cape region has already suffered periods of great drought in recent years, approaching “Day Zero”… On the day when the water no longer flows from the tap, the municipalities try to innovate.
