Even Russian cats were not spared from sanctions..it is forbidden to travel and participate in international exhibitions

The International Cat Federation (FIFE) has banned cats from Russia from participating in international fairs.

A number of newspapers quoted the official website as saying that the decision was taken against the backdrop of the start of a military operation in Ukraine.

"Many innocent people have died, many more have been injured, and hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes to save their lives," the site reads.

We can all witness the devastation and chaos caused by this unprecedented act of aggression.

In addition, our Ukrainian cat lovers are desperately trying to take care of their cats and other animals in these difficult conditions.

We are very happy that many members of FIFE clubs bordering Ukraine, such as Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova, are lending a helping hand to their Ukrainian breeders friends.”

According to the ban, cats bred in Russia cannot be transported and registered in the pedigree book published under the auspices of FIFE.
