Zhao Yingxin (author of "I Am the Olympic Photographer") has a high-spirited exterior and a flexible, uncompromising heart.

She used to be an editor and reporter of the Xinhua News Agency's photography department and a resident photojournalist in the UK.

In 2008, she served as the Beijing Olympics photography operation officer, becoming the first female photography operation officer in the history of the Olympic Games, and also the first Chinese to hold this position.

As a memoir of a photographer's career, it is a warm and heartfelt personal biography.

This book presents the unique narrative style of female photographers. In terms of the integration of graphic content and layout details, it also always reflects the delicate and aesthetic temperament.

The whole book consists of 22 articles, some of which are followed by lyrical poems written by the author, which gradually transition to the main text, express emotions, and connect the following texts.

In the layout of the article, on the basis of following the timeline, the articles that look fragmented are divided into three themes.

First, the core narrative, including "Becoming the First Female Photographer Operation Officer in the History of the Olympic Games", "Chinese Tears in Moscow", and "Zero Breakthrough of China's Winter Olympics Gold Medal", etc., the articles in this part play a "preconceived" role. It aims to arouse readers' interest in reading.

20 years ago, Beijing successfully bid for the Olympics, and the Chinese shed tears in Moscow; Yang Yang won China's first gold medal at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, and historical moments such as the women's volleyball team's victory against the trend in the Athens Olympics, and Liu Xiang's miracle, the 2008 Beijing Olympics Presenting a dazzling rainbow to the world... All of them are frozen in the author's lens and are visually witnessed.

Second, it focuses on describing the behind-the-scenes stories of the media operation team of the Beijing Olympic Games, such as "Unusual 2008", "Meeting the Eyes of the World", "The "Beautiful Lover" that Olympic Photojournalists Can't Leave Behind", etc., and explain the event photography in an easy-to-understand format. Knowledge of location, angle, equipment, etc., such as the function of the photographic vest, the type of registration certificate for Olympic photojournalists, the underwater window, the tennis window and other special photography positions.

Third, the article uses flashbacks to review the daily moments of the Chinese gymnastics team, diving team, canoe team and other hard training when the author of the book was a Xinhua News Agency sports photographer 20 years ago: hard training, In the gymnastics hall, which has brought glory to the country, the notes of the feet wrapped in gauze are reverberating; the turbulent Nu River has left Chinese kayakers training; from the ten-meter platform to the podium, it is a repeat The training intensity and time of diving into the water paved the way...

The title of "I Am an Olympic Photographer" is concise and eye-catching, novel and unique. The book contains more than 200 pictures and nearly 100,000 words. The heart of the text is covered with a light yellow background, creating a low-key, warm and peaceful reading Atmosphere, in the passionate sports pictures, use the "static" of the text to reconcile the "dynamic".

In Zhao Yingxin's shots, there is grace, and there is staggering with injuries; there is wrestling, and there are bursts that challenge the limit; there are flashing medals, and there are flashing sweat.

If the Olympic spirit of being faster, higher, stronger and more united is a beam of light, then the athletes are the light-seekers; if the athletes under Zhao Yingxin’s lens are a beam of light, then, those who have dreams and work hard The best photographers are light-seekers; if hope is in the distance, then we who overcome difficulties and achieve excellence are all light-seekers in life.

Perhaps this is some insight that "I Am an Olympic Photographer" brought us.
