INTERVIEW

They are called Marwa, Loubna, Khaïti and Mouna.

All four took to the streets of Syria in 2011 to cry out their thirst for freedom and democracy.

All of them have finally lived through war, bombs or prison.

"They suffered everything, they resisted, they have incredible courage. They moved me to tears," he says.

"These women have lost a lot, but they continue their fight. They do not admit defeat, they want their voice to continue to be heard. I hope that this film will allow them to be heard by many people. "

"They know that talking is dangerous for them and for their families"

Today, these women have all left their country, bogged down for ten years in a civil war that has left 500,000 dead and millions of refugees.

Kamal Redouani tells us how he gained the trust of these women who agreed to testify openly.

"The advantage is that they know a little about my point of view and my commitment to democracy in this corner of the world," he admits.

"Afterwards, it's really hours and hours of discussion. They understood that I knew their story. Those who agreed to be in this documentary told me that they wanted to be in it completely, with their faces uncovered . They know it's dangerous for them and their families who are still in Syria. The bond we've created is wonderful: these women have become friends."
