On March 1, Beijing, the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Institute of Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences) announced that a new study led by the research team of the Institute found a piece of remains unearthed at the Gezishan site in Ningxia. Paleolithic deer tooth art with intricate carvings is about 13,000 to 12,000 years ago.

This is one of the most exquisite and intricately carved deer tooth ornaments in the Paleolithic Age, and it is also the only Paleolithic deer tooth ornament with complex carving patterns found in China so far.
