The Grévin Wax Museum in Paris has decided to dismantle the wax image of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

- This is the first time a figure has been removed so quickly, says Yves Delhommeau, director general of the Grévin Museum to the EBU.

He says that the museum's employees have announced that they do not want to go past the wax figure, who until now has been among other world leaders in wax.

By telephone, the museum has also received threats from visitors to remove it quickly.

- What is happening in Europe right now means that we no longer want him here, so the best decision was to remove the doll, says Yves Delhommeau.

According to him, will not be destroyed but preserved and stored.

In the clip you can see when the doll is taken apart and packed.
