Egypt.. The papers of the defendants in the "Mall Girl" case before the Mufti of the Republic "to execute them"

The Alexandria Criminal Court in Egypt issued its ruling referring the papers of the convicts in the “Mall Girl” case to the Mufti of the Republic, for a legal opinion on their execution.

The court set the April 6 session to pronounce the verdict, as the defense of the accused of killing the young woman, Naglaa Neamatallah, known in the media in the “Mall Girl” case, demanded that they be presented to a team of psychiatry professors at Alexandria University to ensure the safety of their psychological and mental strength, for the second time after a similar report was issued at their request.

The fifth session of the “Mall Girl” case, which is being considered by the Alexandria Criminal Court, today, Tuesday, witnessed the defendants’ defense questioning the first psychiatric report issued by Maamoura Hospital doctors, demanding that the defendants be presented to a specialized tripartite committee from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University.

In his pleading, the representative of the Public Prosecution demanded the imposition of the maximum penalty on the defendants and the issuance of a death sentence against the first and third defendants.

The prosecution confirmed that the defendants resolved and intended to take her life two months ago, and for this laid a plan in which they prepared white weapons, sleeping tablets and other tools.

She pointed out that one of the defendants gagged her healthy mouth and hit her on the head and the other closed on her neck, while the accused kicked several times to her head until her soul overflowed, then stabbed her with a white weapon in different parts of her body.

The prosecution indicated that this felony was linked to a misdemeanor of theft after they stole from the victim gold jewelry, sums of money, a mobile phone and other movable property, in addition to the attempt of two of the accused to conceal the features of their crime by destroying a surveillance machine that was installed in the scene of the incident.
