He noted that the benefits were evident only in females and this tells us a little about the possibility that gender plays a role in responses to the dietary intervention, noting that an effective measure to reduce visceral fat - regardless of your gender - is exercise, especially aerobic exercise such as jogging, cycling, brisk walking, swimming and rowing .
