In Orléans (Loiret), no longer say bridge of Europe but bridge of Ukraine.

This Monday, February 28, the City announced in a press release several measures to affirm its support for the Ukrainians, attacked by the Russians since the night of February 23 to 24.

The famous bridge of Europe which spans the Loire has thus been renamed “the time of the conflict”.

The elected officials also gathered this Monday evening in front of the Town Hall, adorned for the occasion with the colors of Ukraine, blue and yellow.

A drug collection

These symbolic actions are accompanied by more concrete initiatives.

The town hall will notably launch a collection of medicines by soliciting “a certain number of partners and local pharmaceutical companies”.

It also says that it is "at the disposal of the Quai d'Orsay to welcome Ukrainians and in this regard is asking the communities so that they can also offer, on their side, possible accommodation capacities".
