One of the activities offered by the city of Chamrousse (Isère) to its visitors is a great success during the winter holidays.

These are rides in a sleigh pulled by dogs.

They offer tourists a close proximity to nature.

Organized night outings are particularly attractive, says France 3. Dogs appreciate them just as much.

Animals love the night

In the evening, “The coolness arrives, the animals come out, there are a lot of smells […] so they want to go running,” explains musher Isabelle Herman.

The nocturnal excursion she offers her clients lasts fifteen minutes.

The sleds used can carry a maximum of four people at speeds of 15 to 30 km/h.

The price is 100 euros per outing.

Mushers also feel satisfaction in introducing tourists during walks.

"To introduce people, often who have never done sled dogs, it's still quite nice," said another professional musher.
