As of 12:00 on March 1, people living or working near the gate square must undergo a mandatory nucleic acid test.

  At the press conference held by the Response Coordination Center, Liang Yihao, Director of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Division of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Health Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, briefed the follow-up situation of the case.

She said that 28 related people have been followed up, including 2 close contacts, 20 people with common trajectory, 1 close contact person and 5 key people, and all of them have been controlled.

  According to the Response Coordination Center, a nucleic acid positive case was found in Tanzhou Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province on the 27th. The patient traveled to and from the customs gate several times from the 22nd to the 27th, and the main activity range was near the gate square.

The Health Bureau of the Special Administrative Region Government has carried out environmental sampling of the patients' main activity places in Australia.

  Liang Yihao said that Zhuhai, Zhongshan, and Macau have taken a number of prevention and control measures and maintained close communication. The SAR government will adjust the epidemic prevention measures in a timely manner according to the risks, and there is no plan to adjust the customs clearance measures at present.

She reiterated that the SAR government adheres to the general principle of "preventing imports from abroad and preventing rebound from within", and sticks to the three lines of defense of ports, medical systems and communities in order to achieve the goal of "dynamic clearing".

  Zhang Zixuan, Acting Director of the Non-Higher Education Department of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the SAR Government, said at a press conference that the staff and students of Macao higher education institutions and non-tertiary education schools who have lived in Tanzhou, Zhongshan in the past 14 days have Back-to-school face-to-face teaching will be suspended from today.

He strongly suggested that parents should vaccinate their children against the new crown as soon as possible, and the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and the health department are speeding up arrangements for collective vaccination in schools.
