He did not propose to her, and she committed suicide

A young man in his thirties committed suicide by jumping from the top of the Cairo University bridge in Egypt, after entering into severe depression as a result of a quarrel between him and the girl with whom he was emotionally attached, which prompted him to throw himself from the top of the university bridge in Giza.

The young man was absent from the house, which prompted his brother to report his absence, especially since he was aware of the psychological state that accompanied his brother after he quarreled with the girl he was associated with, and that he entered a state of severe depression, which made him suicidal.

The beginning was when the Egyptian authorities received a report from a person stating that his brother was absent in his thirties, and indicated that he had tried to communicate with his absent brother, so a woman answered the phone to tell him that she had found her on the phone next to the university bridge wall.

After verifying the authenticity of the report and examining the absentee's phone, it was found that he was in a romantic relationship with one of the girls from Minya, and disputes broke out between them for his refusal to formally propose to her, which prompted the young man to end his life by jumping into the Nile waters from the top of the university bridge.

The necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident, and the Public Prosecution office was referred to the Public Prosecution to initiate investigations, which assigned the Flats Police to search for the body, and it was recovered and transferred to the hospital refrigerator at the Public Prosecution’s disposal, and investigations are still ongoing.
