Fujian Province is a major province of arts and crafts industry. In 2021, there will be 749 industrial enterprises above designated size in arts and crafts in the province, with a main business income of 172.868 billion yuan. A total of 49 Chinese arts and crafts masters and 526 provincial-level arts and crafts masters have been awarded.
Chen Chuanfang, deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, said in an interview that the "Measures" have made major reforms in the evaluation and identification of Fujian Province arts and crafts masters, traditional arts and crafts varieties and techniques, arts and crafts treasures, and arts and crafts celebrities.

In response to the current problems of professional talent gap and skill inheritance and generation in some industries, the "Measures" clarified that relevant departments of the people's government at or above the county level should take measures to protect the varieties and skills of traditional arts and crafts in Fujian Province; It also stipulates the protection of bases, exhibition halls and studio construction, apprenticeships, subsidies, intellectual property protection, planning and protection of rare mineral resources and natural raw materials.
In order to protect and promote the development of traditional arts and crafts, Chen Chuanfang pointed out that the "Measures" specially added a "development promotion" chapter, clarifying that governments at all levels should increase financial support for the protection and development of traditional arts and crafts; people's governments at or above the county level and their Relevant departments should improve the construction of industrial parks, characteristic areas, trading markets, and industry think tanks, and strengthen personnel training, brand promotion, and formulation of industry standards; the traditional arts and crafts departments of the people's governments at or above the county level should support arts and crafts enterprises to adopt advanced and applicable technologies Carry out technological transformation and promote industrial innovation and development.
