The Tokyo District Court has filed a provisional disposition that residents around the planned construction site have alleged that there is a problem with the excavation work method for the tunnel of the "Tokyo Gaikan Expressway," which is one of the ring roads in the Tokyo metropolitan area. We have decided to order the government and the East Nippon Expressway to cancel the construction of some sections.
Construction was slow, and a road collapse was found in a residential area in Chofu City, Tokyo, and construction was suspended in this area, but some sections, including the collapsed site, could not be resumed using the same construction method.
