On February 25, Tian Guifen, a 93-year-old female soldier from the Anti-Japanese War, returned to Kunming, Yunnan from Luoyang, Henan to visit relatives.
This is the second time she has set foot on her hometown in more than 70 years since she left home, and reunited with her relatives in Yunnan in her hometown. It has been 24 years since she last returned to her hometown.
That night, Tian Guifen arrived in Kunming, Yunnan with the help of volunteers from Yunnan and Henan, and returned to Guanzhuang Village, Yanglin Town, Songming County, to meet relatives in her hometown.
On February 27, volunteers and the people of their hometown held a welcome ceremony for Tian Guifen. Caring people from all walks of life also joined the event, sending gifts and blessings to the elderly and witnessing her journey back home.
