Yamaguchi Prefecture and Shimonoseki City announced on the 27th that it was confirmed that 258 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 20,846 people have been confirmed infected in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Shimonoseki City also announced that a woman in her 90s died on the 26th.
In Yamaguchi Prefecture, 126 people have died after being infected with the new coronavirus.
