In order to present a unique visual effect, the super-large 8K ground screen in the center of the Bird's Nest is composed of more than 40,000 LED modules, covering an area of 10,552 square meters. Behind the over 43,000 LED screens are complex electrical circuits and components.
The erected LED screen has a beautiful name "Ice Waterfall", is 59.2 meters high, 20 meters wide, and has a total weight of about 730 tons.

On the evening of February 4, as soon as the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics ended, the Bird's Nest began to prepare for the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics on February 20, and the dismantling of the ice waterfall began immediately.
"The demolition of the ice waterfall has created a miracle." Yao Guocai said, "It took three or four months to complete the construction, but the demolition took only 102 hours, 42 hours earlier than the original plan." 3100-3600℃.
Firefighters understand better than anyone that this temperature can melt everything, which means that any fire prevention measures are ineffective in the face of such heat.
Zhang Yuxing, deputy head of the fire-fighting and rescue team, said: "During the demolition, our fire-fighting and disposal team was on duty 24 hours a day, changing shifts every three hours, from day to night, and from night to dawn."
There are 1,434 kinds of props in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, and more than 1,500 sets of 16 kinds of power generation clothing. The fire security team needs to conduct risk assessment and sampling experiments for each prop and clothing.
