  Li Lin is the only overseas Chinese heroine who fought against Japan.

In 1915, she was born in Longxi County, Zhangzhou, Fujian (now the urban area of ​​Zhangzhou).

At the age of 4, she moved to Indonesia with her adoptive mother.

In 1929, she returned to China with her adoptive mother.

In 1936, she was ordered to go to the Anti-Japanese Front in Shanxi.

During the Anti-Japanese War in the Jinsui Border Region, she heroically killed the enemy and was called "our heroine" by He Long.

  On April 26, 1940, Li Lin made a heroic sacrifice to protect the team to break through, at the age of 25.

After her death, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a memorial meeting in Yan'an, calling her "a model for returning overseas Chinese, a model for young intellectuals, and a banner for Chinese women."

She was also successively selected into the "100 Heroes and Model Characters Who Made Outstanding Contributions to the Founding of New China" and "The First List of 300 Famous Anti-Japanese Martyrs and Heroic Groups".

  After learning about Li Lin's life story, Xie Xiaojie, a Taiwanese compatriot from Zhangzhou, was very touched.

He said: "The stable and prosperous development environment in the mainland is not easy to come by. Drink water and think of the source. We must cherish the development opportunities in the mainland today. We must make our career bigger and stronger, and create life value."

  Xie Xiaojie said that he is a "second generation", and his son inherited his father's business to make household health equipment.

Because the mainland has many opportunities for development in all walks of life, he encouraged more Taiwanese youth to come to the mainland to have a look.
