A confectionery shop in Kushiro City wants to create a manju with the motif of the wild bird "Shimaenaga" that lives in Hokkaido, and use it to promote the region.

"Shimaenaga" is a wild bird with a total length of about 14 cm that lives in Hokkaido, and is also called "Snow Fairy" because of its lovely appearance.

In Akan-cho, Kushiro City, a local confectionery store made a manju with the motif of Shimaenaga in an attempt to promote the area with "Shimaenaga" and started selling it in February.

Koichi Yamamoto and Sachi Kawase, photographers who shoot long-tailed tit, proposed it to a confectionery store and commercialized it in a year.

The steamed bun has the shape of a white ellipse that resembles a long-tailed tit.

There is white bean paste inside, and each one has a slightly different expression.

Mr. Fukutaro Matsuhashi, the representative director of the confectionery store, said, "I want you to come to Akan or stop by this manju."
